When you’re committing to full-distance racing, every detail in your kit matters. Discomfort that’s tolerable over 10km becomes a serious issue over 180km on the bike. The Zone3 Lava Long Distance trisuit has been Zone3’s endurance flagship since its launch in 2013, refined continuously through velodrome testing and international elite athlete feedback.
The Lava earned 220 Triathlon’s Editor’s Choice and Best on Test award in 2019, recognising its position as one of the most technically advanced long-distance trisuits available. Materials are sourced from Italy and France — not as a marketing claim but because the specific fabrics required for this level of aerodynamic and comfort performance don’t exist elsewhere in the price category.
Fabrics Built for the Full Distance
The headline fabric on the main front and back panels is Zone3’s Aeroforce Soft-Touch — a high-tech French woven material described by Zone3 as one of the most expensive performance fabrics used in triathlon apparel. It delivers 360° stretch for unrestricted movement across all three disciplines, exceptional breathability and sweat-wicking, a nano water-repellent coating that reduces drag in the swim and repels rain on the bike and run, and a sensory-soft feel that genuinely matters when you’re wearing something for 10-plus hours.
The AERO-STRIPE sleeves are a separate innovation entirely.
