Description
Zone3 Activate+ Women’s Trisuit: Performance-Led, Sustainability-Built
The Activate+ has always sat at the point where genuine race performance meets accessible pricing. The SS26 version doesn’t change that formula — it builds on a decade of refinement with specific, athlete-driven updates that address real-world race demands. Three high-powered recycled fabrics work together across the suit, each positioned for the job it needs to do: aerodynamics on the sleeves, airflow on the back, and compression on the lower body.
The full construction is 100% recycled, including the Tri-Lite pad and silicone UFO leg grippers. This isn’t a token sustainability claim — every functional element from the chamois upward uses recycled material without compromising the performance spec.
What’s New in SS26
The headline addition is a side leg cargo pocket, sitting on the leg panel for easy mid-race access to gels without breaking position on the bike or slowing your run stride. It complements the existing elasticated back storage pocket, giving more nutrition carry capacity than most trisuits at this price point.
The sleeves now use Aerostripe fabric — the same textured surface technology found in Zone3’s Lava and other performance trisuits — which creates aerodynamic advantage at cycling speed by managing boundary layer airflow across the arms. The recycled mesh back panel has been upgraded for improved ventilation and cooling, particularly relevant during the run leg. An updated neck construction adds flexibility and removes a common pressure point without affecting the suit’s overall fit profile.Fabric and Construction
The three-fabric construction divides the suit’s performance demands logically. The Aerostripe sleeve fabric handles aerodynamics and UV coverage. The recycled mesh back panel maximises airflow and sweat management. The lower-body panels deliver compression for muscular support, shape retention across disciplines, and a streamlined profile in the water.
Quick-drying performance is a practical priority in a trisuit: the Activate+ fabrics are designed to shed water rapidly through T1, minimising the weight and drag carried into the bike leg. Seam placement has been refined over ten years of iteration to sit clear of high-friction contact points, and the recycled silicone UFO leg grippers hold the suit in position without the irritation that lower-grade gripper elastics cause over longer efforts.
The Tri-Lite pad is a variable-thickness recycled chamois providing targeted saddle comfort without the bulk that makes running in a trisuit pad uncomfortable. The front zip allows adjustable ventilation on the bike and run, and speeds up transitions.

How does the Zone3 Activate+ compare to the Lava trisuit?
The Activate+ is Zone3’s performance-value entry point — it delivers genuine race-day capability at a lower price than the Lava. The Lava uses premium Italian and French fabrics and is engineered specifically for Ironman-distance comfort over very long efforts. The Activate+ is the right choice for athletes racing sprint through to middle-distance who want a technically capable suit without the flagship price tag. Both use Aerostripe sleeve fabric in the SS26 update.
Is the Activate+ trisuit suitable for training as well as racing?
Yes. The quick-drying recycled fabrics, compression fit, and comfortable pad make it a practical training suit as well as a race day option. The front zip aids ventilation during longer bike sessions in warm conditions.
What is the cargo pocket for?
The new side leg cargo pocket is designed specifically for mid-race nutrition access — gels and small energy products — without needing to reach to the back of the suit while riding or running. It’s a practical addition for anything beyond sprint distance.
Does the Activate+ work for non-wetsuit swims?
Yes. The quick-drying fabrics are designed to shed water rapidly through T1, and the suit’s construction is suitable for open water swimming. In wetsuit-legal races, the trisuit is worn under the wetsuit as normal.
Is the men's version of the Activate+ also available?
Yes — the Activate+ Men’s Short Sleeve Trisuit is available.
