The Classic Jacket is designed for mild to moderate winter temperatures, typically 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F). For colder conditions, we recommend pairing it with a heavier thermal baselayer, or layering a light vest underneath for extra core protection.
Is this jacket fully waterproof?
No. The jacket features a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish and windproof fabric to effectively shed light rain and road spray. It is suitable for showers and damp conditions, but we recommend a dedicated rain shell for heavy or persistent downpours.
What does the "Comfort Fit" mean for sizing?
The Comfort Fit is slightly more relaxed than Sportful’s race-cut jerseys. This means it offers excellent freedom of movement and ample space to comfortably layer a technical baselayer and a light jersey underneath, without feeling restrictive in the riding position.
How do I wash and maintain the windproof protection?
Wash the jacket on a cold cycle (30°C / 86°F) using a mild, non-biological liquid detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as they can damage the fabric’s water-repellent coating. Air dry only.
