CX/TX Sport – The higher cadence and longer ride times which characterise road cycling require excellent foot control to avoid hot-spots and numbness. Lake’s Sport last cradles the foot securely to prevent any unwanted movement. This last features a precisely fitted toe box, high arch, and mid width ball girth.

The CX177 is built around Lake’s fibreglass-injected nylon outsole — a sole Lake pioneered and still uses to differentiate its comfort-focused models from pure carbon race soles. It offers genuine stiffness for efficient power transfer while retaining more give underfoot than carbon, which is where the “all-day comfort” positioning comes from. 3-hole cleat pattern for cleat adjustability.
Fit
Built on the CX/TX Sport last, designed to cradle the foot securely at higher cadence and longer ride times — precisely fitted toe box, high arch, and mid-width ball girth, aimed at avoiding hot spots and numbness on longer rides.
