The Activate+ is Zone3’s performance-value entry point — a genuinely capable race suit at a lower price than the Lava. The Lava uses premium Italian and French fabrics including the Aeroforce Soft-Touch panels, and is engineered specifically for Ironman-distance comfort over very long efforts. The Activate+ is the right choice for sprint through middle-distance racing, or for athletes who want a high-performance training suit as well as a race option. Both now use Aerostripe sleeve fabric in the SS26 range.
Is the Activate+ trisuit suitable for long-distance events?
It handles sprint through to 70.3 distance comfortably. The Tri-Lite pad provides solid saddle comfort and the compression construction holds up well over several hours. For full Ironman distance or beyond, the Lava Long Distance is the more appropriate choice — it’s designed specifically for that duration.
What is the side leg cargo pocket for?
It’s designed for mid-race nutrition access — gels and small energy products — reachable without breaking your position on the bike or slowing down on the run. Combined with the rear elasticated pocket, you have meaningful carry capacity for race-day fuel.
