Description
Orbea Orca M35i Shimano 105 Di2
Praise for the Lightweight The Orca M35i is designed with a “less is more” philosophy. By optimising the carbon layup of the OMR (Orbea Monocoque Race) frame, Orbea has eliminated unnecessary weight while reinforcing the power-transfer zones. This results in a frame that feels “alive” under power—when you stand on the pedals to sprint or climb, the acceleration is instantaneous.
Shimano 105 Di2: Electronic Precision The M35i is equipped with the latest Shimano 105 Di2 R7170 groupset. This brings the lightning-fast, wireless shifting technology of the pro-peloton to a more accessible level. With 12 speeds and a wide-range cassette, you have the perfect gear for the steepest gradients, all controlled by a system that requires zero cable maintenance and offers flawless execution every time you click the paddle.
Oquo Wheel Performance: A bike is only as fast as its wheels. The M35i comes standard with Oquo Road Performance wheels. These wheels are designed to complement the Orca’s lightweight nature, offering a low rotational weight for quick spin-ups and a profile that remains stable in crosswinds. They are tubeless-ready, allowing you to run lower pressures for increased grip and a smoother ride.
The “Powershape” Geometry: The Orca isn’t just light; it handles like a dream. The geometry is aggressive enough for racing but balanced enough for long-distance sportives. With a focus on a stiff front end for surgical steering and a compliant rear triangle to dampen road buzz, it offers a refined ride quality that doesn’t beat you up on rougher UK road surfaces.

Is the Orca M35i a pure race bike?
While it has the soul of a racer, the M35i is surprisingly versatile. Its lightweight nature makes it a joy for casual club runs, while the 105 Di2 groupset and disc brakes make it practical for year-round endurance riding.
What is the maximum tyre clearance on the new Orca?
The latest Orca frame is optimised for modern road trends and can comfortably clear up to 32mm tyres, allowing you to trade a little weight for a lot of comfort and confidence on poorly surfaced roads.
How does the "OMR" carbon differ from the "OMX" carbon?
OMX is the pro-level layup used by the racing team to save every possible gram. OMR (found on the M35i) is only slightly heavier but is specifically tuned to be more compliant and comfortable for the “real-world” rider, making it the better choice for long days in the saddle.
Is it easy to adjust the handlebar height?
Yes. Unlike many fully integrated aero bikes, the Orca uses a clean but accessible cable routing system through the stem. This allows for easier maintenance and height adjustments compared to a one-piece cockpit.
