The Colnago TT2 Time Trial Bike: for elite athletes, performance isn’t just about aerodynamics — it’s the balance of weight, handling, acceleration, rider position and stability, especially on courses that mix flat-out speed with technical or climbing sections. The TT2 is designed as a complete performance platform, where frame, cockpit and componentry work together to maximise overall speed of the rider-bike system.

TT2 frame kit
The TT2 frame kit is approx. 550 grams lighter than the previous TT1 - a reduction achieved while preserving the same stiffness, strength and aerodynamic efficiency.

Narrower integrated cockpit
The TT2 introduces a narrower integrated cockpit, a redesigned fork and an exceptionally slim head tube profile - all developed to minimise drag through frontal exposure.

Complete performance platform
The TT2 was developed as a complete performance platform, extending beyond the frame itself to include every component that influences aerodynamic efficiency.

New Aero Bottle System
The TT2 introduces a new Colnago Aero Bottle System, developed alongside the frame to maximise aerodynamic efficiency through a fully integrated, UCI-compliant design featuring Fidlock® magnetic fastening technology.

Revised geometry
The TT2 introduces a completely revised geometry developed to improve rider fit, comfort and positional flexibility. It is available in 4 sizes: XS, S, M, L Colnago

How much lighter is the TT2 than its predecessor, the TT1?
The TT2 frame kit weighs approximately 2,240g complete (frame, fork, seatpost, cockpit, integrated bottle/cage system) versus 2,785g for the TT1 — a saving of around 550g. The frame alone drops from 1,279g to 985g, and the fork from 530g to 393g.
What's different about the TT2's front end compared to the TT1?
The TT2 moves to a conventional headset system with a completely redesigned fork — the TT1’s bayonet fork design has been dropped. Despite the change, front-end frontal area is nearly identical (21,008mm² vs 21,125mm² on the TT1), while head tube width is now just 32mm and the cockpit is a fully integrated 360mm centre-to-centre unit.
Does the TT2 come with an integrated hydration system?
Yes — a UCI-compliant aero bottle and bottle cage designed as a single integrated body, using Fidlock® TWIST magnetic fastening for quick, secure bottle removal and reattachment without breaking an aerodynamic position.

Tyre clearance up to 30-622. BSA 68mm bottom bracket, 39x30x6.5mm headset bearing, UDH rear hanger compatible, max chainring size 70T.
How does the TT2 perform aerodynamically compared to the TT1?
In wind tunnel testing (mannequin setup, 55km/h, 0–15° yaw), the TT2 required a Weighted Average Drag power of 344.4W versus 346.0W for the TT1 — a small but real reduction, alongside improved stability in crosswinds from more progressive flow separation at higher yaw angles.
