ASSOS EQUIPE R Bib Shorts S11 — Men’s Racing Bib Shorts Built for Performance

The EQUIPE R sits at the heart of the ASSOS Racing Series — a race-focused men’s cycling bib short that draws directly on technology from the premium EQUIPE RS SCHTRADIVARI, refined into a cleaner, more accessible construction. Where the MILLE GT is built for all-day endurance comfort, the EQUIPE R is built for performance: a second-skin racingFit, highly breathable compression fabric, and a 9mm racing insert designed for riders who spend their time at the front end of the ride.

The S11 generation is lighter and more refined than its predecessor, with improved comfort in aggressive riding positions — a direct result of WorldTour feedback fed back into the design.

Type.911 Fabric — Compressive, Breathable, Fast-Drying

The EQUIPE R S11 body is built from Type.911 — a warp-knit textile with a silky-smooth, abrasion-resistant texture that provides stabilising compression while remaining highly breathable. It delivers a deeper, fuller black than the previous model that holds its colour under stretch, and is hydrophobic by design, shedding moisture quickly to prevent weight gain on hard, sweaty efforts. UPF 50+ protection and built-in odour control complete the picture.

racingFit — Second-Skin, Aerodynamic, WorldTour-Proven

The EQUIPE R uses ASSOS’s racingFit — a second-skin, aerodynamic silhouette developed with WorldTour input and refined through WorldTour results. Micro-adjusted shaping wraps the large muscle groups with compressive support and sits at a standard racingFit length, which runs slightly longer than regularFit for improved coverage in aggressive positions.

X-Frame Bib Straps

Inherited from the EQUIPE RS line, the X-Frame is an A-frame suspension system that limits sag across the lower back, stabilising both the insert and the main body panel during high-intensity riding. It keeps everything locked in position when you’re out of the saddle or deep in the drops.

zeroPressure Waist

A highly elastic waist construction conforms with the body’s second-skin fit while actively reducing pressure in aggressive riding positions. It works without restriction through long climbs, hard accelerations and sustained efforts in the drops.
skinGrip Leg Finish

Raw-cut leg edges with minimal anti-slip finishing secure the shorts in place without excessive pressure or visible seams. The result is a clean, low-profile leg opening that stays put without relying on aggressive silicone banding.

EQUIPE R S11 Insert — 9mm Racing Platform

The EQUIPE R S11 chamois is a purpose-built 9mm racing insert, designed for performance riders in a racingFit position. Three technologies work together:

Shock-Absorb Damping System Mono 9 — compressive foam in a breathable 9mm platform with thermoformed shaping to eliminate ridges and pressure points during hard efforts.
3D Waffle — a patented three-layer perforated foam construction that maximises breathability and removes excess weight from the insert without sacrificing support.
goldenGate 2.0 — the insert attaches at front and rear with floating sides and centre, allowing it to move with the body rather than restrict it. Updated cut-outs on the sides reduce volume and friction throughout the pedal stroke.
