The Equipe RS is Assos’s benchmark — the jersey built with WorldTour feedback and proven with WorldTour results. The S11 generation brings a lighter, more aerodynamic sleeve textile and a new rear hem stabilisation system to a platform already considered one of the best race jerseys available. The Something To Say colourway adds a graphic design layer to the technical silhouette. If you want World Tour-level performance on every ride, this is the jersey.
Three Fabrics, One Purpose: Go Faster, Stay Cool
Assos uses three distinct textiles across the S11, each doing a specific job. The main body uses miniCheck Tex — an open 3D knit delivering high breathability, body-wrapping compression and UPF 25 protection. The sleeves use the new 550CX warp-knit textile: lighter than the previous version, with a surface texture that generates aerodynamic gains at the leading edge — the arms and shoulders — in aggressive riding positions (UPF 35). The rear pocket panel is Stabilizer V11, an ultralight hypercooling mesh that anchors the pockets and prevents sag when loaded — it carries only UPF 15, so Assos recommend sunscreen on the skin beneath it on sunny days.
racingFit and PILtec Plug-In
The racingFit cut is a second-skin, aerodynamic silhouette that eliminates fabric bunching in the drops. Raw-cut and bonded hems on the sleeves, zipper and rear remove transitional ridges that create pressure points or aerodynamic disruption. The new PILtec Plug-In rear hem — a lightweight textile band with microdot silicone — keeps the jersey’s back panel stable during climbing, sprinting and cornering, even when wet. Triple Ramp rear pockets use internal fabric lids to stabilise contents against road spray and movement. The full-length front zip includes a zip garage at the collar.

What makes the Equipe RS S11 different from the previous version?
The S11 brings two main updates over the S9 generation. The sleeves use a new 550CX warp-knit textile that is lighter than before while maintaining the same compressive second-skin fit, and it introduces a surface texture designed for aerodynamic gains in aggressive riding positions. The rear hem also gains the new PILtec Plug-In system — a microdot silicone band that keeps the jersey’s back panel stable under hard efforts, including when wet.
What is racingFit and how does it differ from Assos's other fits?
racingFit is Assos’s closest, most aggressive cut — a second-skin silhouette developed with WorldTour rider feedback and designed to eliminate any fabric movement or bunching when you are in a low, aggressive position on the bike. It is more compressive and forward-oriented than Assos’s other fit profiles. If you are used to a relaxed or standard jersey fit and are trying Assos for the first time, it is worth sizing up or considering the Mille GT range, which uses a less race-specific cut.
Is the Equipe RS S11 suitable for long rides or just racing?
Both. Despite the race-focused construction, the breathability of the miniCheck Tex body and Stabiliser V11 pocket panel, combined with the pocket capacity of the Triple Ramp system, make it a practical choice for long training rides and sportives as well as races. The Cyclingnews review specifically noted it performs as well on a seven-hour ride as a one-hour effort.
What is the Stabiliser V11 panel and why does Assos recommend sunscreen beneath it?
The Stabiliser V11 is the lightweight mesh panel behind the rear pockets. It is designed primarily for hypercooling breathability and to anchor the pockets against sag when loaded — but it is so lightweight and open that it offers only UPF 15 sun protection. Assos recommend applying sunscreen to the skin beneath it on sunny days.
What is PILtec Plug-In?
PILtec Plug-In is the name Assos give to the rear hem stabilisation system on the S11. A thin strip of lightweight textile with a microdot silicone print runs along the back hem, gripping the skin or base layer beneath and keeping the rear panel in position during hard efforts, sprinting and cornering — including when the jersey is wet. It replaces bulkier silicone hem treatments used on earlier designs.
How do the Triple Ramp pockets work?
Each rear pocket has a flexible fabric panel sewn in as an internal lid. These lids sit over the pocket opening and stabilise the contents, preventing items from bouncing out on rough roads or during hard efforts, and providing some protection against road spray. The pockets are deep enough to carry a large smartphone, food, a spare tube and tools simultaneously without movement.
