What is the recommended temperature range for these gloves?
The Classic Winter Gloves are designed for cool to moderate cold, ideally suited for riding in temperatures ranging from 5°C to 15°C (41°F to 59°F). For conditions near or below freezing, we recommend upgrading to a deeper thermal glove, such as the Assos Ultraz.
Will these gloves restrict movement when shifting gears?
No. The gloves feature an elastic backhand and a focus on minimising bulk. They provide sufficient warmth while ensuring you retain the dexterity and bar feel necessary for safe, precise shifting and braking, even on electronic groupsets.
Is the touchscreen functionality reliable?
Yes. The gloves include a conductive fabric on the thumb and index finger, making them fully compatible with touchscreens (phones, cycle computers, and GPS units). This allows you to manage your electronics without exposing your hands to the cold.
Are these gloves waterproof?
No. These gloves are built primarily for thermal warmth and wind protection, not waterproofing. While they can handle a light mist or dampness, for prolonged rain or torrential downpours, we recommend using a dedicated waterproof outer shell glove or overshoe.
