What temperatures is this jacket best suited for?
The Fiandre Shift is optimised for cool, transitional conditions, typically ranging from 5°C to 15°C. It is an excellent windproof outer layer, perfect for layering over a light thermal baselayer.
How does this jacket prevent me from sweating and overheating?
It uses Polartec AirCore™ fabric, which is highly air-permeable. This allows the internal moisture (sweat and heat) to escape quickly while simultaneously blocking the cold wind and water from the exterior, maintaining a dry microclimate.
Is the jacket waterproof?
The jacket is highly water-repellent and will protect you from road spray and light showers, thanks to the PFAS-free DWR treatment. However, for full, prolonged downpours, a dedicated waterproof shell would be required.
Is the fit tight like a race jersey?
Yes, it uses a close and racy fit (similar to the Fiandre 2 Jacket), designed to be streamlined and minimise bulk for aerodynamic efficiency during hard efforts. We recommend consulting the size chart carefully.
